British Energy Selects Utilisoft to Update its Retail Business Systems
Wednesday Nov 12th 2008: Utilisoft is delighted to announce that British Energy has selected its range of solutions as part of a technology refresh project in its electricity retailing operation. British Energy is working in collaboration with a number of its partners to deliver the project, including Utilisoft UK, Logica and Oracle.British Energy undertook a major tendering process to identify solutions and partners to deal with core issues around operational integrity, flexibility and capability in key business areas covering activities such as pricing, billing and settlements.
British Energy has selected a number of solutions from Utilisoft's UK product portfolio, including:
- AFMS AVANT: a web-browser based application which has been designed to automate many of the key processes inherent in the UK utilities retail market, including customer registration and loss and metering information flows. AFMS AVANT is a new interface to the already proven AFMS application.
- DataFlow.WEB: a new desktop data management tool which provides a modern web-based architecture and intuitive user interface. It reduces the complexity of the data and processes which are fundamental within the Utilities industry, offering significant business benefits to organisations and enhanced usability for users.
