Country Energy selects Utilisoft for NSW Gas Market

Country Energy has selected Utilisoft’s FlowTalk NSW Gas Module to provide full connectivity to the NSW Gas market and integration with its core business systems for its Network and Retail businesses. FlowTalk will assist Country Energy in increasing their business efficiency and market compliance by providing accurate up to date information on current market situation and guiding users through dashboards and customised reports towards any transactions that may need attention.Country Energy’s Vendor Manager Applications and Services, Alastair Gunn, said Utilisoft had been selected as the successful tenderer to provide the essential service provider with a NSW Gas transaction management system. “The improved search and reporting facilities and integration capabilities that FlowTalk offers will allow Country Energy to introduce more process automation into its NSW Gas systems providing a better service to our customers,” Mr Gunn said.
The NSW & ACT Gas Retail market is operated by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and managed by Logica Australia. The Market allows more than 1,000,000 gas consumers in NSW and the ACT to choose their gas supplier. The FlowTalk NSW Gas Module builds on the FlowTalk Framework, which includes modules for VIC Gas (VENCorp) and National Electricity Market (NEM) B2B and B2M transactions. The new module supports Network Operator, Retailer and Self Contracting User roles in the NSW Gas market and implements a comprehensive set of market transactions covering Delivery Point Registration Transactions, Estimation, Reconciliation and Forecasting Transactions, and Imbalance and Incentives Transactions.
