GateKeeper is Utilisoft’s enterprise-scalable secure Gateway server application for managing Energy Market data flows.
It lives in the space between your business information systems and the outside world of market hub systems and trading partners.
Essentially, GateKeeper is the last step out to the external environment and the first step inside for business-critical data including CSV & XML that your business processes in day-to-day operations.
Because the outside world is out of your control, GateKeeper provides peace of mind that you are communicating efficiently and securely in well-defined ways with trusted parties only.
GateKeeper checks every aspect of data that passes in and out; it handles handshaking, data validation, data map conversion and security processes. GateKeeper ensures your data is always routed to and from the specific areas of your business that need it.
And it does it all-day, every-day at exceptionally high volume.
GateKeeper is a sophisticated, multithreaded Java application which has been operating successfully in many Global markets. GateKeeper is used by more Australian Energy Market Participants than any other gateway solution. Gatekeeper continues to prove itself as the best-performing Gateway Software in the NEM, yet costs a fraction of competitor products.
GateKeeper is fully aseXML compliant and interfaces with all current Australian utility markets; these are currently the National Electricity Market (where it manages B2M & B2B data), NSW Gas, Queensland Gas, Victoria Gas, and the South Australia Gas Markets.
GateKeeper is capable of operating as Industry Hub router as is the case at the New South Wales Gas Retail Market where the central Business System (GRMBS) uses this product as part of the solution deployed by Logica Australia. GateKeeper is also suited to act as a bi-lateral off-market transactions router.
GateKeeper 4
GateKeeper 4 offers the same functionality as GateKeeper but utilises the Java J2EE platform, offering significant performance and scalability improvements to cater for the very largest energy market participants.
GateKeeper 4 also makes extensive use of open source Java technologies such as Struts, Spring and Hibernate. GateKeeper 4 includes a new web based user interface for ease of configuration and use that includes management and maintenance of energy market connectivity and market messages. A key new benefit of GateKeeper 4 is the Interceptor API – a very simple and effective customisation feature that allows electricity and gas clients to implement their own unique complex routing logic or preferred delivery protocol without interfering with the base operation of the gateway. Out-of-the-box, GateKeeper 4 provides performance improvements, new and advanced functionality, customisable industry workflows and platform level redundancy. This not only addresses current gateway challenges but caters for the challenges that Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) will impose.
GateKeeper is the worlds most-trusted Gateway Software Application for handling complex energy market business transactions. With more than 140 energy market customers stretching from the UK and Europe to Singapore and Australia, GateKeeper is a genuine market leader.
GateKeeper manages millions of data transactions for all kinds of participants in the world’s most dynamic deregulated energy markets.
GateKeeper ensures our customers’ data gets where it is needed and that their internal business information systems are secure and shielded.
GateKeeper Server in Gas Markets
Flow GateKeeper simultaneously handles multiple versions of aseXML and can also be configured to handle ebXML which is required in the South Australia, Queensland and Victoria Gas Markets. GK fully supports all flows that are defined by REMCO and VENCorp, and will fulfil all the communications requirements, such as validation and security.
A feature of the REMCO/VENCorp model is the requirement to communicate in ebXML over HTTP. All participants in the marketplace are required to utlise the webMethods Trading Networks Module (TNM) and ebXML module. Utilisoft has integrated webMethods with GK to provide full ebXML wrapping and unwrapping as part of the Gateway process.
